Building Stronger Foundations
The demand for sustainable impact is rising in the ever-evolving landscape of non-profits and social enterprises. Organisations are realising that to create lasting change, they need more than just goodwill; they need robust capabilities. That’s where capacity building comes into play.
Why we believe it’s important
The landscape of strategy consulting is pretty suss. First, you have a bunch of 27-year-olds telling you what to do. No lived experience, no concept of working with individuals who don’t think strategically (or care). Second, the whole thing is geared so that they can on-sell. Go in, diagnose/audit, tell you your problems, tell you how we can fix it, we go in and fix it, and you are left with a better business but have to "call in the experts" when it breaks again.
Not sustainable.
Capacity building
Capacity building is about empowering organisations with the tools, skills, and knowledge to not only survive but thrive. Whether enhancing financial literacy, improving project management, or fostering leadership skills, capacity building prepares organisations to tackle their missions with increased efficacy and resilience.
At Pluri, we understand that each organisation is unique and has its challenges and needs. Our approach to capacity building is tailored to fit these diverse requirements, ensuring that interventions are relevant and transformative. Two areas that we focus on (particularly) are:
Strategic Planning: Helping organisations define clear, actionable strategies that align with their long-term goals.
Impact Measurement: Equipping teams with the skills to measure, analyse, and communicate the impact of their work effectively.
Our work with non-profits and social enterprises has led to numerous success stories. For instance, a recent collaboration with a faith-based ministry saw their team redefine their strategic approach, leading to an anticipated 50% increase in expanded outreach capabilities and the ability to attract supporting funding.
Investing in capacity building can significantly enhance an organisation's effectiveness. By strengthening internal capabilities, non-profits and social enterprises become more adept at navigating challenges, securing funding, and achieving their missions, so you know how to do your own servicing.
